Welcome!

Sustainable Springfield is a 501c3 non-profit in Historic Springfield in Jacksonville, Florida.  We are working to turn local liabilities into local assets.  Our first project was to turn a vacant blighted lot in to a vibrant Community Garden.  The community garden has been very successful and received a Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Award from the Mayor in 2010.

Since then, we have built a community orchard and Kids Garden in Springfield.  We have monthly programming that includes sustainable living classes, seasonal Cooking In Season Classes, and quarterly Food Swaps.
